FOSS4GNA has graciously covered publication costs for 10 submissions. There are no out-of-pocket fees for authors or reviewers.
Submission Types
- Long Form Papers: No word limit.
- 2-Pagers: Less than 2000 words.

Submissions Open: November 3, 2025
Submissions Close: February 28, 2026
Eligibility & Priority
Preference is given to presenters at the 2025 FOSS4GNA conference. The initial submission period is reserved for presenters who pre-registered interest. If spots remain, the call will open to all 2025 conference presenters.
Evaluation Process
Double-Blind Peer Review
Submissions are assessed for relevance, quality, clarity, ethics, and soundness by a group of geospatial peers. Reviewers can suggest edits and participate in open, anonymous discourse around the submissions. All reviews remain anonymous.
Upon publication, reviewers will be acknowledged as contributors (not authors) to the publication. Learn more at StacksJournal.org.
