Location Details

A gem of 1920s civic architecture, the building was designed by the first licensed woman architect in California, Julia Morgan, and housed the Sacramento Public Market from 1923–1974. After several decades as an office building, it was restored during its conversion into the Sheraton Grand Sacramento in the 1990s, taking special care to incorporate and honor the original architecture. The hotel recently completed a multi-year renovation and boasts a light-filled atrium, with plenty of hallway space and seating for "hallway networking" that is a staple of FOSS4G North America.
