Chris Howard

Chris is Head of Open Source at Uber, steering the company’s strategy, governance, and external ecosystem engagement. In this role, he focuses on optimizing the developer experience through designing modern engineering workflows, implementing compliance and governance processes, and leveraging AI to streamline how teams safely consume and contribute to open source software. A dedicated advocate for sustainable technology, Chris also sits on the OpenUK leadership and works closely with global open source communities to advance open governance, innovation and developer collaboration.
