Share Your Work: Submit a Poster for FOSS4G North America
Posters are an important part of the FOSS4G North America experience. They provide an opportunity to share ideas, showcase projects, and start conversations in a format that is approachable, visual, and interactive. Posters are especially well-suited for early-stage projects, research in progress, student work, community initiatives, and experimental ideas that benefit from visual storytelling and one-on-one discussion. A poster session allows attendees to engage directly with presenters, ask questions, exchange ideas, and explore projects at their own pace. They are also a great way for first-time contributors to participate in the conference and connect with the broader FOSS4G community.
We welcome posters covering a wide range of topics related to open geospatial technologies and applications, including:
Open-source GIS tools and workflows
Web mapping and visualization
Remote sensing and imagery
Spatial analysis and modeling
Community mapping and participatory GIS
Environmental resilience and hazard response
Water, agriculture, and natural resources
Open data initiatives and interoperability
GeoAI and emerging geospatial technologies
Research, education, and public-sector applications
Business and sustainability of open source
As with the broader conference program, we are particularly interested in posters that reflect this year’s themes of Resilience and Innovation. Projects that demonstrate practical applications of open geospatial tools to address environmental, infrastructure, climate, public health, or community challenges are especially encouraged.
