FOSS4G North America 2026 Talk Submissions May Close Soon

Since extending the Call for Proposals, we have received a strong number of new talk and lightning talk submissions. Thank you to everyone who has responded and helped strengthen the FOSS4G North America 2026 program.

We are continuing to review proposals as they arrive and anticipate that we may close submissions before the July 20 extension deadline once the remaining program gaps have been filled.

We are still especially interested in proposals related to:

• Business of Open Source

• Community of Practice

• Water, Fire, and Resilience

• Core Open Source Geospatial Tools and Infrastructure

The conference will take place November 2–4, 2026, in Sacramento, California.

Talk and lightning talk submissions remain open for now, but we encourage anyone considering a proposal to submit as soon as possible.

Workshop submissions are closed. Poster submissions will remain open through September 15, 2026.
